Do you have brown eyes or blue?

Today we watched the documentary A Class Divided. What was the most interesting part? Why were the blue- eyed children so quick to treat the other brown-eyed children like second-class citizens? How were their test scores affected? Why didn't the lesser group,in both cases, stand up and say anything? Give a real-life example of this type of discrimination and its effect on people.

Have you hugged your Mom today??

Hello ladies! Imagine for a moment that tomorrow morning, you wake up in a foreign country. Their culture is very unfamiliar to you. What things would you be concerned about? What opinions might people make about someone else's culture and customs when they are so different from their own? How would you learn about someone else's culture and eventually interact successfully within it? Think about it tonight...tomorrow is another day!!! ;)
I hope you all gave your moms a big hug and told them how special they are!
See you all tomorrow!

still a little sleepy

I hope everyone has recovered after such a crazy weekend. I got 2 hours of sleep yesterday and just about fell asleep in my spaghetti at supper... but I'm feeling much better now! :) It was a lot of fun though.
I hope everyone did well in their competitions. Kylie, I can't wait to hear how your day went yesterday!
After such a hectic weekend, I'm glad this is a shortened week coming up! Get lots of sleep tonight, girls. We'll see some of you in the morning. To all the others, have a great time in Esterhazy!
